Leavenworth Adventure Park’s Grand Opening
While the Leavenworth Adventure Park’s grand opening was on June 1st, 2023 in the Bavarian Village of Leavenworth, Washington, they actually had an early opening a couple weeks prior, but their Tumwater Twister Alpine Coaster was the only attraction available to participate in. We happened to drive over the Memorial Day weekend and saw riders going down the track. At first, we thought it might have been employees and possibly their families, but we decided to park and head in.
The Thrilling Tumwater Twister Alpine Coaster
Experience the rush of Washington’s first alpine coaster, the Tumwater Twister, as you twist and turn through three-helix circles, drops, and curves at speeds up to 27 mph. You’re not allowed to use a camera while on the ride, however, you’ll still be able to take in some impressive scenic views. The ride probably lasts about 5 minutes or so, depending on how fast you choose to descend.

Tickets show pricing for ages 3 and up. Our 7-year old was hesitant to go on the ride, but she eventually went with me twice, although she did ask throughout the ride to slow down – and I obliged. This outdoor bungee bounce trampoline appears to be the same as the ones you occasionally find inside shopping malls and other locations.
At the Gems Of The Enchantments Mining Sluice, children and adults alike can learn about the various types of gemstones found in the region while having a blast searching for their own treasures.

We were told by one employee that starting on their grand opening, tickets would be by reservation-only through their website. While we had to wait over an hour for our rides, their goal is to limit the wait time to 20 minutes or less.
- Free Parking: Parking at the Leavenworth Adventure Park is free. We arrived early and there were very few cars in the parking lot, seems several people walked from downtown Leavenworth over to the Adventure Park.
- Making Reservations: Reserve your spot early, especially during popular times like summer months.
- Waiver: You’ll also need to sign the Leavenworth Adventure Park online waiver, do this ahead of time to save time.
