“Lake of the Moon” has just been added to the gallery.
Inner Space Cavern, located in Georgetown, TX has some of the most impressive limestone formations in all of Central Texas caves including stalagmites, soda straws, and stalactites. Prehistoric fossils from the ice age have been discovered in the cavern. The cavern is estimated to be 90-100 million years old, but was not discovered until 1963 when the Texas Highway Department was drilling into the ground as they were constructing IH-35. The caverns were opened to the public in 1966 and offer guided tours.
