This is “back home” for me, Deception Pass Bridge connects the north end of Whidbey Island (where I was born and raised) into the mainland. On a rainy, overcast day while visiting family, I decided to head over to the bridge and see what images I could take. This shot was taken from Pass Island, a quite large rock island that is in the middle of Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands and where the two bridge formations known collectively as Deception Pass Bridge connect. The bridge stands nearly 186 feet above the water body of Deception Pass.
